Good morning, Brookwood Community,
We had a great time at literacy night, Stuck on the Moon! Here are some photos from the event. You’re welcome to add your photos to the shared drive. Be sure to check out the student’s favorite book titles on the “Brookwood bookshelf.”
We were delighted to see the kids having fun and working hard to solve the challenges with their families and peers. We’re so proud of how well they did. ❤️

Thank you, Pizza Schmizza and H.E.L.P., the Charity, for the grant opportunity. Because of your generous donation, we were able to create this new literacy event and offer it free of charge to our Brookwood community!

Thank you, Better World Books, for donating 100 new and used books to Brookwood students. Because of your kind donation, we were able to offer free books to all students who attended the literacy event.
Better World Books is a for-profit social enterprise that collects and sells books online, with each sale generating funds for literacy initiatives around the world.

We are forever grateful for wonderful partners who support our mission to build community with fun and educational activities that enhance the quality of education for Brookwood students.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who made the event possible, which includes Booster members, four students from Century High’s National Honors Society, and Brookwood sixth-grader volunteer, JJ. Thank you, parents, who helped with all the clean-up afterwards.
Special thanks to Ms Curtis for organizing the book table and bookmark-making activities. You’re the best! Our kids are lucky to have you.❤️ 📚 And special thanks to Principal Caldwell for your continued support and help at the event. The kids and families love having you there. ❤️
With gratitude,
Stacey and Trisha (Co-Communications)
