Pictured from left to right are Metolius Elementary fourth grade teachers and students Brody Piercy, Trevor Smith, Jordan Piercy (front row) and Barb Hutchins, Naomi DeAnda, Figaro’s Pizza Owner, Tom Hansen, Katie Knobel, Maryjean Povis, and Tyler Hughes.  The fourth grade teachers submitted a grant application to H.E.L.P., The Charity for to support an overnight field trip to OMSI and The Oregon Historical Society Museum.  They received $200.00 in grant money and $200.00 in matching food vouchers from Tom Hansen and Madras Figaros.

Madras Figaro’s Pizza proudly supports H.E.L.P., the Charity.  H.E.L.P. stands for “Helping Education with Love & Pizza.”  Figaro’s pizza owner and staff want to show their support for local schools and community by giving back.  The H.E.L.P. grants are presented for school funding to assist in special projects, equipment, school supplies and teaching programs.  H.E.L.P., the Charity announced in the first 24 months of existence, it has already issued 185 awards of grants totaling $31,092.00.  Of this amount $2,000.00 was presented by the Madras Figaro’s  Pizza to local schools and non-profits.
